KatoAI is an AI-powered platform for language schools that provides tools for lesson planning, content generation, gamified lesson delivery, student assessment, and progress reporting. The Platform is designed for use by educational institutions, teachers, and their students.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Organisation administrators are responsible for managing user accounts within their institution.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
  • Upload or transmit harmful content, including malware or content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Use the Platform to generate content that is harmful, discriminatory, or inappropriate for educational settings.
  • Share account credentials or allow unauthorised users to access the Platform.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content. While we strive for accuracy and quality, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. Teachers and administrators are responsible for reviewing and approving content before use with students. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated materials.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Platform, its design, features, and underlying technology are owned by KatoAI and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Content you create using the Platform (lesson plans, custom materials) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this content to provide our services.
  • AI-generated content produced through the Platform may be used by your organisation for educational purposes.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable and continuous access to the Platform. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect access. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KatoAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Platform or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
